In 2019 Sam established LB Civil to assist a locally formed alliance in the rebuild of Kaikoura and State Highway 1, after a major natural disaster struck the area in the form of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Since then, Sam has led LB Civil to be one of Canterbury’s most reputable civil contractors and grown a talented and diverse team capable of delivering highly complex projects across the 3 waters and infrastructure industry. Sam has had extensive involvement in the delivery and support of every project LB Civil has ever undertaken. His passion for the industry is evident through his involvement in industry innovation, continuous education, and the enthusiasm and grit which he approaches every day with. Outside of work, Sam is a proud husband and ‘girl dad’ to Winnie and Sia, and can often be found having his nails painted in between teaching them how to chop firewood and properly throw a punch!

Following 8 years in project management, Stacey took a few years away from work to raise their children Winnie and Sia. During this time LB civil was in its conception years, and with Sam putting everything he had into building the business, Stacey played a crucial role in sound boarding, developing, and implementing the business strategies that were to set the foundations for LB Civil. With a meticulous eye for detail, fostering collaboration, and a sound understanding of the market, Stacey brings a fresh perspective and focus to the growth of the business. Outside of work, life is always fun (yet busy!), and early Saturday mornings are often spent running in the port hills, followed by family time and a dance party or two with the girls.

Tom brings an abundance of knowledge to the LB team, with over 19 years of mahi in the industry. Having honed his skills through a combination of old school on-the-job training and continuous education, TK brings a perfect balance of hard-work and expertise to every job. It is not unusual for clients and residents in the areas where work is being carried out, to positively acknowledge Tom and his crew for providing excellent service with minimal impact. Always with a smile or a laugh, Tom is an avid traveller who loves an adventure with loved ones, or getting down and dirty in nature on his dirt bike.

With over twelve years in the industry, Brock brings a wealth of experience and expertise to LB Civil. Passionate about Hydro-Excavation and Trenchless Technology, he combines a deep understanding of project coordination, resource allocation, and commitment to client satisfaction. Beyond work, Brock finds joy in exploring the great outdoors through snowboarding adventures, indulging in culinary experiences paired with fine wines, and cherishing moments with loved ones. This blend of professional dedication and personal interests enriches his contributions both inside and outside the workplace.

Kieran joined the civil industry straight out of high school, and now has over 17 years’ experience and a diploma in civil engineering to his name.

He brings a wealth of knowledge of horizontal infrastructure, land development, and earthworks, having worked on an array of high value projects across the Canterbury region. Kieran is a committed character with a highly reputable work ethic and thrives on the challenges that present themselves within the industry.

Outside of work, he can be found enjoying time with family and being outdoors - whether it be fishing, playing rugby, or golf.
