Celebrating 2024’s Achievements and Looking Ahead to a Promising 2025
Reflecting on 2024: A Word from Our Director
What a year 2024 has been for LB Civil! This year brought exciting challenges and rewarding opportunities as we successfully delivered major projects across our 3 waters and hydro excavation divisions. Our team’s performance has thrived, thanks to the incredible support from our clients, partners, and dedicated staff.
Looking ahead, the latter half of 2024 has shown strong signs of growth, with significant infrastructure projects emerging from local Councils, an encouraging sign for the industry.
As we prepare for 2025, we’re excited to strengthen our team, build our culture, and drive progress within civil infrastructure.
From me, a heartfelt thank you to our exceptional team! Sam Lentjes.
2024 Milestones and Achievements
This year, LB Civil has delivered several significant civil projects across the South Island, with 2024 marking a milestone achievement, our involvement in the Te Kaha stadium development. Contributing to Christchurch’s iconic new stadium, already resembling a modern-day Colosseum, has been a privilege and a defining moment for our team. Delivering large-scale infrastructure works for this landmark project reflects our dedication to shaping future-ready infrastructure. It’s a project we’ll proudly look back on as a highlight of 2024.
In addition to project achievements, we welcomed Kieran Davis as our new General Manager. Kieran, formerly with Fulton Hogan, has brought invaluable experience, immediately making an impact on LB Civil’s operational efficiency and strategic direction for 2025.
Our growing capabilities have also been supported by strategic fleet investments. These high-performing additions enable us to take on more technically challenging and specialised projects, enhancing project safety, precision, and efficiency across the board.
A final milestone worth celebrating is the launch of our new website, www.lb-civil.com. It showcases our services, case studies, and values, offering insight into our commitment to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions to the communities we serve.
Community Engagement
In 2024, we were proud to partner with Isleworth School in Bishopdale, Christchurch, completing volunteer civil works to honour the memory of one of life’s “good ones.” This initiative reminded us of the importance of giving back and representing those who contribute so much to their communities. It’s a privilege to be in a position to make a positive impact, and we’re committed to continuing this tradition throughout our journey. A Final Word
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to kick off several key civil projects and continue collaborating with our valued industry partners. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us throughout 2024, including local councils, head contractors, clients, consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors, and, most importantly, our incredible LB Civil team and families.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here’s to a successful and rewarding 2025!
